Benefits of Yogurt
You may be wondering, “what are the health benefits of yogurt and why is it taking over more and more of the dairy section?”
I’m glad you asked!
Many types of yogurt are made with good bacteria. Your body needs these good bacteria to keep healthy intestine function. (Check on the container for the “live and active cultures” logo.) It also has protein, calcium, B vitamins, potassium and magnesium.
Lately I have noticed this particular snack has more and more variety of flavors. Perhaps the food industry has no choice but to lean in the direction of those consumers trying to get healthy.
In the mood for Boston Cream Pie? How about some Raspberry Cheesecake? You will find these and more tasty treats right in the dairy section, and all for (usually) less than 200 calories per serving.
These little containers are just the right size for a snack or to add to a shake. I like to add milk, whey protein, ice and a banana for a great post-workout smoothie.
Enjoy, Fitness Woman! And let these little snacks help you on your journey to becoming more fit!
