Cranberry Juice Benefits

How many cranberry juice benefits can there be? Well, let me tell you. If you haven’t added cranberry juice to your daily diet, now is a great time to start.

I have been on a quest for super foods and stumbled on this little wonder berry in my research.

Some folks don’t like the taste of pure cranberry juice, so I add grape juice (one part grape juice to one part cranberry juice) to mine, and drink a glass every day.



So, what exactly does this super food do? Great question!

Research for the cranberry juice benefits is still ongoing, but medical science has discovered some amazing health benefits from this inexpensive and natural food.

One cup of cranberries comes in at about 50 calories. It is a great source of vitamin C, a very good source of dietary fiber, and a good source of manganese and vitamin K. Cranberries contains zero cholesterol and the total fat is only 0.1 gram. This in one low-fat, healthy drink!

Cranberry juice can also treat and prevent urinary tract infections, and that sets it apart from other juices. The way it does it is with an antibacterial agent called hippuric acid.

This acidifies the urine and reduces the ability of E-coli to stick to the walls of the bladder. Instead, the E-coli mixes with the urine and is washed away. E-coli bacteria are responsible for up to 90% of urinary tract infections.

It also helps increase the levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and reduce the levels of LDL (bad cholesterol).

It helps prevent the formation of kidney stones.

It suppresses the herpes virus,

protects against macular degeneration,

reduces dental plaque,

and can help destroy the bacteria (H. pylori), which causes stomach ulcers.
