Glute Stretches


Fitness Woman shows you how to stretch your glutes.  Get ready to tighten that butt!

Glute stretches target your rear end…

ok, I have to say this in plain old English. This is a butt stretch. Please forgive my political incorrectness.




Your gluteus muscles are responsible for keeping you upright. They help us drive, walk, sit, run...

...and pretty much everything else we do. You name it, and our butts are there to help us do it.

To do this flexibility move, lay on your back. Bend your knees so that you are comfortably resting the soles of your feet on the floor. Put one ankle on the other knee. Reach through and grab your thigh and bring both legs toward you. You will feel this in your glutes.

Switch legs and hold for about 30 seconds.
