Shoulder Stretch
A good shoulder stretch segment can really help you if you have been hunched over a computer all day. It can even help improve your posture as you think about standing nice and straight with your shoulders back and your head held high. Try some of these simple stretches.
Stand tall and straight. Bring your left arm across your body and hold it with your right arm above or below the elbow.
Keep those shoulders down.
Hold the stretch for 30 seconds, then switch arms.
If this bothers your elbow or shoulder, ease off or try a different stretch.
Hold a towel behind your back with one arm overhead and one curled up and behind you. (Here I used a convenient strap hanging from some nearby workout equipment.) Gently raise your overhead hand toward the ceiling.
You will feel the stretch in your opposite shoulder as your lower hand is pulled gently up your back. Hold for 30 seconds then switch arms.
Consistently stretching after you have properly warmed up will yield great results.
It’s never too late to become the fitness woman you’ve dreamed of being!
