My YouTube Fitness Vlog this week is simple and easy.

First, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

It’s been a great week for working out!

Getting to the gym this time of year can be a little bit difficult, so if you have been able to make it, congratulations!

The challenge for the month of December is very simple. We just want to maintain our weight. Hit the gym a little more to counteract the extra calories we tend to consume during this festive time of year.

The week's challenge is to try making a lower calorie version of one of your favorite holiday dishes. I’m going to try pumpkin baked with spices instead of the high calorie pumpkin pie. Try to find healthier options for some of those seasonal favorites.

The superfood this week is pumpkin. It is naturally low in fat, high in antioxidants and pro-vitamin A. Don’t shy away from adding pumpkin to your meals.
